INTRODUCTION
Annual athletic meet 2023 of the college was celebrated on 10th March 2023. The program started with in opening ceremony. It began a 9 am by the assembly and march past of athletes. The morning prayer was singing by Swetha and Aswathi. The welcome speech was by Afrad Ashraf, the chairperson, SUMCTE Union. Dr. C.V Jayasree, the principal of SUMCTE delivered the presidential address. After that flag was hosted by the principal. The meet inauguration and torch relay was by the chief guest Sandhya V (Miss South India in 2020, Miss Kerala in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2020 and Sandy fit gym entrepreneur). Oath taking was given by Rohith, General Captain, SUMCTE Union. Janab Ahmmed Kutty Master (Manager SUMCTE) and Mr. George Joseph, Asst. Prof. in education, SUMCTE gave the felicitation to the programme.
OFFICIALS OF THE MEET
Jury of the appeal included principal Dr. C.V Jayasree, SUMCTE Janab Ahmmed Kutty Master, Manager, SUMCTE and Mr. DIVAKARAN P.E assistant professor in physical science. Technical manager was Mr. Krishna Kumar E.P, assistant professor in social science and Mr. Abhinand. K assistant professor in physical education. Mr.Kishnakumar E.P, Kavyanjali K.T were the announcers. Certificate and trophy committee included Mr. Abhinand. K and Anjan P K. Mrs. Deepthi O.V and Ms. Vaisha were in food and refreshment committee. First aid committee included Mr. Sunesh K and Mrs. Praseetha. Mr. George Joseph was the judge of jumps, Mr. Divakaran P. E and Mr.Krishnakumar E.P were the judges for throws . Judges for running race were Mr.Sunesh and Mrs.Shincy.
ORDER OF THE EVENT
The athletic events were started at 10 am. The first was the 100 meters running for women. At 10.30 am was javelin throw, category men and women shot put. At 11 am was 400 meters of women and long jump of men. At 11.30 am there were three events 100 meters of men, women long jump and men 200 meters. At 12’o clock was 200 meters for women and 400 meters of men. Afternoon session began at 2 pm by men shotput. Discus throw category women was conducted and the last event of the meet was 4X100 relay which was a mixed category items and was conducted at 3.15 pm.

The overall championship of the meet was won by the Yellow group.
CLOSING CEREMONY
The closing ceremony began with the assembly of athletes. The welcome speech was delivered by Kavyanjali, vice chairperson, SUMCTE Union. The prices for the winners were distributed by Jnab Ahmmed Kutty master. The closing of meet was done by Dr.C.V Jayasree principal, SUMCTE. The general captain, Rohith manoj gave the vote of thanks. The event got an end by the national anthem by the students.
