Report on Moon Day Quiz Competition
A Moon Day Quiz Competition was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in association with SUM College of Teacher Education (SUM CTE), Mamba, Muzhappala, on Tuesday, 21 July 2026, to commemorate Moon Day and to enhance students’ awareness of space science and lunar exploration.
The quiz programme was conducted by Mr. Divakaran P. E., Assistant Professor of Physical Science Education. The competition was organized using Quizza, an interactive digital quiz platform, which enabled students to participate actively and made the event engaging and technology-driven.
The questions covered a wide range of topics related to the Moon, the history and significance of Moon Day, lunar missions, astronauts, and recent developments in space exploration. The participants displayed keen interest and enthusiasm throughout the competition, making the event both informative and enjoyable.
The programme successfully promoted scientific temper, critical thinking, and awareness of space science among the student teachers. It also encouraged healthy competition and active participation, reflecting the institution’s commitment to innovative and technology-enabled learning practices.
The programme concluded with appreciation for all participants and the resource person for making the event a meaningful and memorable learning experience.
