Introduction 

The National Farmers Day in India is also known as Kisan Divas in Hindi. Farmer’s Day is celebrated every year on 23 December, on the birthday of the 5th Prime Minister of India, Choudhary Charan Singh, also a farmer’s leader, who introduced many policies to improve the lives of the Indian farmers. 

Resource Person 

Mrs. Indu C K was the Chief Guest of this programme. She got the Farmers Award for Youth in Vrikshayurveda from Kerala State Govt. in 2018. She is an organic farmer, mainly cultivating ornamental flowers and poisonous less vegetable and fruits and exporting them to different areas. They were manufacturing organic fertilizers and marketing these products through online mode.

Highlights of the Programme 

We honored Mrs. Indu C K and conducted an interactive session with our students. 

Conclusion 

Agriculture has given so much wealth and pride to our country. The Govt. is doing his best to help in the growth and development of agriculture still, it meets more policy and projects to save the environment and the people involved in agriculture.
