Report on Guru Purnima Celebration
The Natural Science Department of SUM College of Teacher Education, Mamba, Muzhappala, observed Guru Purnima on 29 July 2026 during the morning assembly with great respect and reverence.
The programme began with a brief introduction highlighting the significance of Guru Purnima, a day dedicated to expressing gratitude and respect towards teachers and mentors for their invaluable guidance in shaping the lives of students. As a token of appreciation, all the teachers of the college were honoured with flowers by the students.
Dr. Rosa M.C., Principal, addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of the Guru in an individual’s life. She emphasized that teachers play a vital role in imparting knowledge, instilling values, and inspiring students to become responsible and successful citizens. Her message encouraged everyone to uphold the tradition of respecting and valuing teachers.
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt expression of gratitude to all the teachers for their dedication and commitment to education.
