Report on Pi Day Celebration

Pi Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Department of Mathematics at SUM College of Teacher Education on 17 March 2026 in the college General Hall. The program aimed to create awareness about the mathematical constant π (pi) and its significance in the field of mathematics.

The session was inaugurated by Dr. C. V. Jayasree, who formally opened the celebration and highlighted the importance of mathematics in everyday life. The Department of Mathematics organized the event on a grand scale, ensuring active participation from students.

On this occasion, Dr. Bakrishnan P delivered an informative talk on the importance of π, explaining its applications and relevance in various mathematical and scientific contexts. His speech provided valuable insights and inspired students to appreciate the beauty of mathematics.

Students also actively contributed to the program. Abhina, Sakeethanaa, Anuvrindha, and Anusree shared their thoughts and ideas, making the session engaging and interactive.
