
The NSS Unit 100 of SUM College of Teacher Education organized a meaningful outreach visit to Karunyam Buds School, Ancharkkandy, on 7 November 2025. The primary purpose of the visit was to support the students of the school by handing over sanitary pads to the needy, as part of the unit’s health and hygiene awareness initiative.
The programme was presided over by Mr. Suneesh K, who addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of social responsibility and compassionate service. Dr. Jayasree C.V. spoke a few words, appreciating the efforts of the NSS volunteers and emphasizing the significance of promoting hygiene awareness among young students.
The event was attended by Mr. Balakrishnan Master and Mr. George Joseph, whose presence added grace and encouragement to the programme.
Towards the end of the function, Mr. Adarsh P delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the school authorities, NSS volunteers, and dignitaries for their active participation and support.
The visit proved to be a memorable day, marked by wonderful coordination, teamwork, and a spirit of service, reflecting the true essence of the National Service Scheme.
