The World AIDS Day was observed on 2 December 2025 with the objective of spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS and emphasizing the importance of prevention, care, and social responsibility. The program began with an inaugural session led by Dr. C.V. Jayasree, who formally inaugurated the event. In her address, she highlighted the significance of AIDS awareness, the need to eliminate stigma, and the role of educational institutions in promoting responsible behaviour among youth.
As part of the observance, an oath-taking ceremony was conducted to reaffirm the commitment of students to spread awareness, promote compassion, and support individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. The oath was administered by students from the Department of Natural Science, who actively participated in the ceremony.
The event was organized by Ms. Prassetha, Assistant Professor of Natural Science. Her dedicated efforts ensured the smooth coordination of the program, which successfully engaged students and encouraged them to take part in HIV/AIDS awareness initiatives.
The program concluded with a collective pledge by all participants to contribute towards building an informed and empathetic society. The observation served as an impactful reminder of the global fight against HIV/AIDS and the role of youth in driving positive change.
