


A cleaning drive was successfully conducted on October 3, 2025, under the leadership of the NSS Unit of SUM College of Teacher Education. The area selected for the drive was the stretch of Muzhappala Road leading to our college.
The event was inaugurated by Mr. Divakaran P.E., Principal In-Charge, who highlighted the importance of cleanliness and community participation. Mr. Suneh K, NSS Programme Coordinator, led the event and guided the volunteers throughout the activity.
Prominent faculty members including Dr. Krishnakumar E.P., Mr. George Joseph, Mr. Balakrishnan Master, and Ms. Praseeth actively supported and encouraged the students. Their involvement motivated the volunteers and ensured smooth execution of the task.
The enthusiastic participation of NSS volunteers turned the drive into a meaningful and impactful experience. Their dedication and teamwork transformed the area and reinforced the spirit of community service. The presence and support of the local ward member further strengthened the initiative.
The program not only improved the cleanliness of the surrounding environment but also spread awareness about public hygiene and civic responsibility among students and the local community.
