Report on Drama in Education Camp

A Drama in Education Camp was successfully conducted from 29 January 2026 to 30 January 2026 at SUM College of Teacher Education. The camp was organized with the aim of enhancing creativity, communication skills, and confidence among student teachers through experiential learning.

The sessions were led by Mr. Adarsh Chandran and Mr. Jithu Kolakkad, renowned artists in the field of drama and theatre education. The two-day camp featured a variety of engaging activities such as drama, screenplay writing, instant acting, skits, mime, and enactments, all of which were carried out with active participation from the students.

Students enthusiastically took part in the activities, and the camp provided ample opportunities for self-expression, teamwork, and creative exploration. Through continuous interaction and performance-based learning, students gradually overcame their inhibitions and developed greater confidence and spontaneity.

The programme was chaired by Mr. George Joseph, Assistant Professor, SUM College of Teacher Education, whose guidance and encouragement contributed to the overall success of the camp. The two-day interaction was highly enriching and enjoyable, making the camp a memorable and impactful learning experience for all participants.
