The students and teachers of SUM College of Teacher Education actively participated in the Palliative Day Procession held on 15 January 2026 in the evening at Chakkarakal Town. The programme was organized by the Pain and Palliative Care Organization, Chakkarakal, with the aim of creating awareness about palliative care and community support for the seriously ill.
The event was coordinated by Dr. C. V. Jayasree in collaboration with the organizers of the Pain and Palliative Care Organization. The procession witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and community members, reflecting a strong spirit of social responsibility and compassion.
Mr. George Joseph, Mr. Abhinand K., and Ms. Praseetha P. accompanied the students throughout the march and provided guidance and support. The participants carried messages promoting empathy, care, and support for patients in need of palliative care.
