eachers’ Day Celebration at SUM College of Teacher Education

Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy at SUM College of Teacher Education on 8th September 2025. The event, organized with the active support of the College Union, featured a variety of engaging and heartfelt activities to honour the teaching staff.

The celebration began with a ceremonial tribute, where the Principal, Dr. C.V. Jayasree, honoured the College Manager, Mr. C. Ahammed Kutty Master, by draping him with a fabric as a mark of respect and appreciation for his contributions.

A series of fun-filled competitions such as musical chairs, hat exchange, and other interactive games were conducted, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere. These activities saw enthusiastic participation from both teachers and students, strengthening the bond between them.

One of the highlights of the day was the cake-cutting ceremony, led by Dr. C.V. Jayasree, along with members of the College Union. Following this, gifts were distributed to all the teachers as a token of gratitude and recognition of their dedication and hard work.

Several dignitaries and faculty members shared their thoughts on the importance of Teachers’ Day. Speeches were delivered by Dr. C.V. Jayasree, Mr. Divakran P.E., Krishnakumar EP,Mr. Abhinand, Mr. George Joseph, Mr. S. Suneesh, Ms. Praseetha K., and Ms. Shincy Mohan, all of whom highlighted the vital role teachers play in shaping the future of society.

The event concluded on a high note, leaving both teachers and students with cherished memories and a renewed appreciation for the teaching profession.
