On 28th July 2025, a team of faculty members from Zinab Memorial B.Ed College visited Sum College of Teacher Education as part of their initiative to understand and observe the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation process.

The visiting team comprised Dr. Neena, principal Zinab Memorial B.Ed college, Ms. Bindu and Mr. Ganeshan, both experienced faculty members. The primary objective of their visit was to gain insights into the preparation, documentation, and implementation strategies adopted by Sum College for its NAAC accreditation.

The team was welcomed and guided by Mr. Krishnakumar E.P., IQAC Coordinator, and Dr. C.V. Jayasree, Principal, who provided a comprehensive overview of the NAAC accreditation procedures followed by the college. Detailed discussions were held on various aspects including:

  • Formation and functioning of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
  • Criteria-wise preparation of the Self Study Report (SSR)
  • Documentation and best practices adopted
  • Peer team visit management and post-accreditation follow-up activities

Ms. Bindu and Mr. Ganeshan also engaged in a feedback session where they clarified doubts and gathered suggestions for effectively managing the accreditation process in their own institution.

The visiting team stayed until the evening and documented the practices and frameworks employed by Sum College throughout its NAAC journey. The interaction proved to be mutually enriching and supportive of academic collaboration.
