
on behalf of the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) accreditation process, a team of faculty members from Mahatma College of Teacher Education, Nileshwar visited Sum College of Teacher Education on 10/7/2025. Mr Krishnakumar EP, IQAC co-ordinator and Dr CV Jaysree give a detailed information regarding the NAAC acrediation process to the visitors.
The visit was part of an academic exchange and benchmarking initiative to understand best practices in teacher education, institutional functioning, and quality enhancement measures. The team was warmly received by the Principal, staff, and students of Sum College.
During the visit, the team had detailed interactions with the academic and administrative staff, visited various departments, and observed infrastructural facilities such as the library, ICT-enabled classrooms, laboratories, and student support services. Emphasis was laid on reviewing teaching-learning methodologies, internal evaluation mechanisms, and extension activities undertaken by the institution.
The faculty team appreciated the systematic academic and administrative practices followed by Sum College. The insights gained from the visit will contribute significantly to enhancing the quality standards at Mahatma College of Teacher Education, especially in the context of NAAC accreditation.
The visit concluded with a note of thanks and mutual appreciation, strengthening the collaborative spirit between the two institutions.
