The Mathematics Club 2024-25 of SUM College of teacher education organized its inaugural ceremony, coinciding with World Statistics Day, to promote mathematical excellence and statistical awareness among students.
The function began with prayer by Vaishanavi and Sreesha V K delivered a warm welcome speech, setting the tone for the event. The Presidential Address was given by Dr C V Jayasree, Principal, SUMCTE and she emphasized the importance of mathematics and statistics in everyday life, encouraging students to explore these fields. Our Chief Guest Dr S K Jayadevan, Senior Lecturer, DIET, Palayad formally inaugurated the Mathematics Club, highlighting its potential to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. He delivered a speech on mathematics and its importance in daily life and the session positively influenced all .

After the inaugural session as a part of mathematics club of 3024-25 inaugration quiz competition on logic and reasoning and sudoku competition was held for the students and after that prize was distributed for the winners in both competition.
